Top 3 Social Media Marketing Tips for Beginners
Everyone has to start somewhere, but getting started can be overwhelming. Here are three quick tips to get you going for the first time you try to conquer Social Media Marketing for your business efforts:
1) Create a public Facebook business page.
You don’t have to have all of your ducks in a row to get things up and running. Creating a Public Facebook Business Page for your company/business will allow you to add a default photo (PRO TIP: use your logo!), a cover photo (do not leave this blank) and add important information like your address (if applicable), business hours, the best phone number to reach you at, and a description of services and what you have to offer.
2) Decide what to post.

Remember: your business Facebook page should clearly be about your business, but it make it humanizing as well. Things like industry related humor and articles are welcome in addition to information about your services. Chances are you’re not the only person providing what you do, so it’s important to give people a glimpse into why they should choose you.

3) Stay consistent.
How much time do you have to dedicate to Social Media each week? If it’s only two days, then stick to that routine. If it’s an hour each day, then make sure to put that in your calendar. In our personal lives, it’s easy to just whip out our phones or tablets at the grocery store, in line at the DMV, or while relaxing on the couch at the end of the day, but this is not the case when using Social Media for business. Schedule time in your calendar each week to dedicate specifically to your online marketing efforts.
